Temple of Literature welcomed over 700,000 visitors from the beginning of the year
Since the beginning of the year, the scientific and cultural center Temple of Literature has welcomed over 700,000 tourists to visit, which accounts for 60% of international visitors.
“Foreign tourists visited Temple of Literature mostly Chinese, South Korean, Japanese, Thai lands, French and Australian … Vietnamese visitors coming the most crowed in the competition season and the New Year, praying good luck to the customs of the nation”, said Dr. Dang Kim Ngoc, Director of the Center.
To preserve this heritage, in addition to the conservation projects that is being funded from the State budget; annual renovation are made by Center against degradation. It is about upgrading the landscape beauty of monuments, repairing small items such as fences, tile lines; wooden door …
The work of environmental sanitation is continuously done, creating comfortably for visitors to come here. Private sector of doctors, where the students and tourists frequented visiting the first to touch turtle heads were separated by a fence with a red cloth.
Temple of Literature is the oldest university in Vietnam, with nearly 1,000 history years and also a place to worship to Confucius. Specifically, 82 steles of doctors in Temple of Literature were recognized as the world’s documentary heritage and the UNESCO register it as a World Memory.
Nodaway, Temple of Literature is the ideal place for both locals and foreign tourists, and it is also the place where cultural and educational activities of Hanoi and the country are taken place.
