Day 1: Hanoi – Arrival (D)

Up on arrival in Hanoi, we will be welcome at the airport then transfer to hotel.
We are relax in the rest of the day; then go to a fine local restaurant in town for our Welcome Dinner in the evening. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – City tour (B, L)
Visited sites: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, One Pillar Pagoda, The Temple of Literature, Museum of Ethnology
Special activities: Cyclo around the Old Quarter & Water puppet show.
AM: Start to be picked up at the hotel at 08:30AM; we enjoy the city by the first visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex, where we will spend a couple of hour to visit: Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum ;his former House on stilt Residence, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh museum and One pillar pagoda. Keep going to see the Temple of Literature: originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam's first university dating back to 1070.
Inside are the stone stele mounted on the backs of turtles, inscribed with the names of the university's graduates. The complex is divided into five courtyards with different paths that would originally have been reserved for the Emperor and his mandarins. One of the courtyards contains the statue of Confucius guarded by two beautiful bronze storks standing on turtles. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society placed then and now on education.
Lunch will be at a fine local restaurant in Hanoi.
PM: After lunch, we get on our van for a drive out of the city center to visit one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam; Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam's 54 Ethnic minority peoples. As well as the
comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the grounds.
Following by that we will wander around the city by car to see the real life of Hanoian as well as the difference parts the city. After that we will take one-hour cyclo around the Old Quarter, known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally, each of the 36 streets names' was related to the products being sold there. Lastly we enjoy 1-hour water puppet show before getting back to the hotel.

Day 3: Hanoi – Mai Chau (B, L, D)
We depart Hanoi today at 8 o’clock then drive up to Hoa Binh. After 3,5 hour driving, we arrive at Mai Chau. Having lunch at Lodge’s restaurant before checking in; then we are relax. In the afternoon, we will visit Soldier Caves, followed by a walk to Thái villages of Pom Coong and Lac. Dinner at the house on stilt then enjoy traditional dance performance. Overnight in Mai Chau.

Day 4: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)
This morning, we are walk around the village then transfer back to Hanoi for our night stay.
Lunch in Hoa Binh.

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
08h00 – 08h30 Pick-up at hotel and start the 3 hour-and-a-half drive to Halong Bay
12h00 – 12h30 Embark on Calypso Cruiser followed by cruise briefing
13h00 – 15h30 Savor a delectable lunch as Calypso Cruiser cruise further along the limestone islands of Fighting Cock, Dog Rock and Incense Burner, to name a few
15h30 – 17h30 Visit Amazing Cave
17h30 – 19h00 Stop at Titop Beach. Go swimming, snap photos the overview of Halong Bay or just relax as the sun starts to set Enjoy cooking class on the cruiser.
19h00 Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests or just laze around. Overnight on board.
Junk: Calypso junk cruise
Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)
06h00 – 07h00 Start our day with swimming, exercise or photo hunt
07h00 – 11h00 Have breakfast at sunrise.
Get your hand on some kayaking, visiting Luon cave
Head back to the Harbor
Disembark Calypso Cruiser at around 11h00
12h00 – 16h30 Transfer back to Hanoi and trip finishes at the hotel around 16h30 Overnight in Hanoi

Day 7: Hanoi – Departure (B)

All meals as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: (B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner). If the restaurant indicated is not available on the day, your guide will arrange another restaurant from our list of approved restaurants. Breakfast is usually a western style buffet. We endeavor to ensure that a choice of western and Vietnamese breakfasts is supplied; however, there may be occasions when only a Vietnamese simple breakfast is available in some remote locations.
Private Transfers:
Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing by private air conditioned vehicle with a driver and English-speaking guide (as listed above). Your comfort is our priority!
Guide:
As outlined in the itinerary an English-speaking guide (other language upon request, please be advised that the tour guide salary could be varies depends on the language/s spoken and the tour cost could be changed) and experience driver will be with you throughout the trip.
Hotels:
Hotel fees are based on two people sharing one room with twin beds (twin share basis).
All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily western or Vietnamese breakfast or continental (depends on each hotel). All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

En-suite cabin base on twin share basis.
Homestay with Thai Minority:
Home stay with Thai Minority people in Mai Chau is basic and clean. The family provides matches, Mosquito net, Blanket, Pillow. The stilt house has wooden floor. Western & hot water toilet is available.

Luggage Transfers:
Between airports and hotels. Normally, your luggage is with you at the back of the vehicles. In some occasions when the van is full and we have vehicle support to carry your luggage
